If you are in some place not far away from San Antonio, this Texas city may serve as a wonderful getaway for you with its numerous fabulous attractions, like River Walk, the Alamo, Mission San Jose, San Antonio Museum of Art, to name a few.

The Alamo is the number one tourist attraction in the state of Texas and a landmark for San Antonio. This mission church bears profound historic significance which can be dated back to the 18th century when the Spanish priests tried to Christianize the local people. Not long after that, the San Antonio people waged a fierce war for independence against Mexico. Today, many visitors are attracted to appreciate this historic spot and to reminisce that period of history. Besides, there are a great many wild plants, artifacts and shows inside.

River Walk is said to be the second most visited attraction in the state and is the jewel of this city. San Antonio Museum of Art is an amazing art museum located in the West Jones Avenue. It boasts a wide variety of collections from different continents, including Asia, Europe and Latin America. Paintings, antiquities, photographs, sculptures and decorative arts are all to be found here. American folk arts of the pre-Columbian, Spanish Colonial, nineteenth and twentieth century all find their presence here. It is no surprise that so many people want to feast their eyes in this museum on weekends.
